Chapter Three: Nightmare Come True
Everyone in the entire Twilight High Academy could just tell that Naminé did not sleep well her first night at the school.
“Hey Naminé!” Kairi said as she walked over to Naminé in her school uniform.
“Whoa, what happened?” Sora asked as he and Riku and Kairi looked at the girl whose hair used to be straight and shiny, and now her hair was poofy and dull.
“I did not sleep good at all last night.” Naminé said.
“Ok? Well, class starts in about a couple hours, so why don’t we go and take you to get your hair done?” Kairi asked. “And maybe a facial wouldn’t hurt.” Kairi said. Then both girls got one of Naminé’s sweatshirts from her room, Naminé put it on, and put on the hood, and before you knew it, both girls were out of that room before that boy showed up.
It was about 9 a.m. and the girls were all done getting what they needed. Kairi even signed Naminé up for a French manicure and pedicure.
“Ah! I feel so much better!” Naminé said in relief.
“Me too!” Kairi giggled as the girls walked to Naminé’s locker.
“I still can’t believe that you signed me up for a manicure and pedicure. I loved it though, I haven’t had one of those since I was 13!” Naminé laughed.
“Well, I still have to introduce you to the rest of the gang!” Kairi said.
“Alright.” Naminé said as the two walked to their first period math class.
The bell rang signaling the students to get to class.
“Alright class, today we have a new student. Her name is Naminé.” the math teacher said as she read Naminé’s name off a little white sheet of paper. Then Naminé got out from a corner with all her books. When she looked around the class, she could see a lot of other girls her age whispering to one another. “Alright Naminé, let’s see if we can find you a seat… How. about you sit next to, hmm… There seems to be an open space next to Roxas, but I thought I filled that space already.” the teacher said.
“Actually, you didn’t.” Kairi said as she stood up from her seat. “I am already one of Naminé’s friends, and since I sit a seat away from Roxas, why doesn’t Naminé sit in the middle of the two of us?” Kairi suggested.
“I like the way you think, Kairi.” the teacher said. “Alright Naminé, go sit in the seat between Roxas and Kairi.” the teacher informed Naminé.
While Naminé walked to her new seat, she noticed a lot of girls whispering about her, and others giving her mean glares. She could faintly hear some of them whispering about her.
“Oh my God, I heard that she used to live in a dark alley and steal for food in Hallow Bastion.” one girl whispered.
“I heard that she was dropped off on the doorstep of the two richest people in all of Twilight Town.” another whispered.
“Hey, Kairi, why are all the girls giving me weird glares and whispering about me?” Naminé asked Kairi in a whisper.
Kairi looked up from her unfinished worksheet that she was suppose to finish from last year. “I didn’t notice, wait…” Kairi paused. “Never mind, I know why. Look.” Kairi said as she pointed to Roxas who was sitting on the other side of Naminé. Naminé looked over and saw a girl with a darker blonde colored hair than hers and Roxas.
“Thanks, Roxas.” the girl said as Roxas bent down from his seat to pick up her pencil.
“No problem.” Roxas said. Then he turned his head and saw Naminé and Kairi looking at him, unfortunately so did the girl, then Naminé snapped her head back to Kairi.
“What’s wrong, Nami?” Kairi asked.
“Huh? Oh, n-nothing.” Naminé said. Then the teacher told the class to open their math books to page five. Everyone did as they were told.
“Alright, so can anyone tell me the answer to problem number five?” the teacher asked. Naminé slowly raised her hand. “Yes Naminé?” the teacher asked.
“Is the answer -6?” Naminé said.
“Indeed it is.” the teacher said as she looked at her book. “Does anyone know how Naminé solved it?” the teacher asked.
“Could she have subtracted 6 from 12?” Kairi said as she raised her hand.
“Yes she did.” the teacher said with a smile on her face, then both girls looked at one another and smiled. Then the bell rang signaling them to go to their next class.
“Alright class, I am your new English teacher. I do not want to expect any madness or craziness in this classroom.” she informed the class in a firm tone. “If I catch anyone doing ANYTHING wrong I will give you a detention.” she added.
Once the teacher finished her classroom rules, she informed the class about what they were going to be doing for the next year.
When the bell rang telling the class that 3rd period was over about 40 minutes later, everyone rushed out the door. Naminé walked down to the cafeteria to eat lunch, when she finished she headed down to the library.
Naminé searched up and down until she finally went up the elevator to the real life mystery section to find a book with an unsolved mystery. (There may not be an elevator for real in her school but I just wanted to make it seem like a huge school.) Naminé soon found a book and decided to check it out and take it back to her dorm.
When she got back to her dorm room, as soon as she shut the door, there was a knock. She went to answer it.
“Hi Naminé!” Kairi said with a smile on her face and some girls behind her.
“Hi Kairi.” Naminé said. “Who are all your friends?” Naminé asked.
“Well, once you invite us all in, I’ll introduce you.” Kairi said. But, without an answer, Kairi and the other girls walked into her room. Kairi walked up to Naminé and whispered something in her ear. “Sora is going to be bringing the other guys over later.” Kairi said.
“Okay.” Naminé whispered back.
“Alright girls, this is Naminé. Naminé, this is, Selphie, Olette, and of course you know Yuffie, Aerith.” Kairi said going from one girl to the next introducing everyone.
“Hi.” Naminé said.
“Alright, so we all met one another. Now, how about we go and um…” Selphie paused.
“How about we go and hang out in the gym and help set up the decorations for the ‘Welcome Back Dance’.” Kairi said.
“Sounds good to me!” Yuffie said.
“Anything is better than doing nothing!” Aerith said happily.
“Great, C’mon!” Kairi said as she opened Naminé’s dorm door and pulled on her arm and pulled her to the gym where they helped set up the dance decorations.
After a good five hours with the decorations, the girls were done and went back to Naminé’s room where they met the boys, and Naminé noticed the boy who she shared a room with and the boy who she ran into in the hall.
“Oh God, this is definitely a nightmare come true!” Naminé said as she ran into the girls bathroom.
