Chapter Seven: Agrabah

Everyone got into the Gummi Ship, including Kisara. Sora looked back at the map. "This is definitely a good world. It's called Agrabah, and I know you guys are gonna like it. Especially with Genie around."

"Who's Genie?" Kisara asked.

Sora grinned. "You'll see." Then he glanced at Donald. "And don't try to take any jewels this time, alright?"

"Okay, fine." The Gummi Ship sped toward the desert world.

Sora and his friends scanned the place. It had a lot of sand and there was a palace not too far from where they were standing. Sora led them into a place that looked deserted and they noticed a black-haired man inside and they didn't even know what the other thing was, except for the fact that it was blue.

"Al, we're running out of TIME!" he said. He made a watch appear and started tapping it. He turned around and gasped. "SORA!" He started hugging him really hard. "Oh it's so good to see you!"

"Good... to see... you too.... Genie, you're squeezing... too hard...."

Genie released him. "Sorry." He looked down at Sora's broken arm. "What happened?!"

"Uh...." Genie pointed his finger at it and it healed itself. Sora moved his arm without a sting. "Thanks."

The man also saw them. "Hey, Sora, who are your friends?"

Genie grabbed his shoulders. "YOU DON'T REMEMBER DONALD AND GOOFY?! Do you need a physician, Al?!"

"No, I mean his other friends."

Genie noticed Riku, Kairi and Kisara. "Sora's got friends he didn't tell me about?!" He made himself go to Sora by disappearing and reappearing. "Sora, are you keeping secrets from me?!"

"No, I-"

"OH, I feel so ASHAMED!" He made it look like he died. Then he immediately got back up. "Enough of that!" He turned himself into a big woman. "Now, let's see here." He went up to Riku. "My, my, my, what a handsome young man. Tell me, now, what's your name?" He made a microphone appear and pointed it at him.

"Uh, Riku."

"RIKU! Okay, now let's get a look at who these two lovely young ladies are." He pointed the microphone at them.

"I'm Kisara."

"KAIRI and KISARA! ALRIGHT! Can I call you the double K? Or the K twins?" Kairi started giggling.

"Genie, you can call them Kairi and Kisara," Sora said.

"Aw, you just have to take the fun out of everything!" He made his looks go back to normal.

"Anyway, I'm GENIE!" He patted the man's shoulder. "And this over here's Aladdin, but everyone calls him Al."

"Actually, Genie, I think you're the only person who calls me Al."

Genie drooped. "Oh. Well, we need to get back to work here, anyway. You might not've noticed, but ALADDIN'S GETTIN' MARRIED! TODAY!"

Sora blinked. "You, too?!"

"Whoa, whoa, WHOA!" Genie grabbed him. "Sora, you're a little too young to be gettin' married!"

"I'm not getting married, Genie, someone I know is. Her name's Ariel." Sora pushed his hand away. "So, Aladdin, you're getting married to Jasmine, right?"

Aladdin nodded. "Of course, who else would it be?"

"OKAY! You kids go along now and we'll finish gettin' ready, okay? Okay, buh-bye!" Genie shoved them all out.

Kairi laughed again. "Is he always like that?"

"Yep," Goofy said. "That's Genie, alright."

They all turned to see the palace. Sora smiled. "Jasmine's another one of those Seven Princesses." They walked into it, not knowing what to expect.

Everyone thought the inside looked amazing. It was all decorated with jewels. They noticed a black-haired, dark girl with a wedding dress on looking out the window. "Hey, Jasmine."

Jasmine quickly moved herself from the window and grinned. "Sora! Donald! Goofy! Oh, I can't wait to tell you-"

"We already know," Sora proclaimed.

Goofy stepped forward. "Jasmine, these are our friends, Riku, Kairi and Kisara."

"Oh, so you're friends of Sora's?" They nodded. "Well, I hope you have a good time here. Anyway, I have to finish getting ready."

‘Man, having a wedding must take a long time,' Sora thought. ‘Not that I ever plan on having one, just sayin'....'

Jasmine twirled around many times. "So, what do you think of this dress?"

"Good-bye," Sora, Riku and Donald said at the same time and they all walked away with Goofy following.

Kairi shook her head. "Boys.... It looks really pretty, Jasmine."

Kisara nodded in agreement. "It does. Although, I haven't really seen any wedding dresses lately, so I might not be the best person to ask."

Jasmine smiled again. "Well, it's the only one I have."

Kairi looked at where the boys went and grinned. "Kisara, do you like scaring?"

Kisara made a pretend evil look go on her face. "Yes, I do. Mwahahahaha!"

"Okay, you don't have to do that, but...." Both girls glanced directly at the boys. They snuck up behind them and...

"HEARTLESS!" they both screamed at the same time. All the boys jumped and got their weapons ready. Then they realized what happened and turned to look at the two girls on the floor, laughing.

"Ha, ha, very funny." Sora stated sarcastically.

"You bet it was! You should've seen the look on your faces!" Kisara exclaimed.

Riku folded his arms. "Okay, you can cut it out, now. It's not really that funny anymore."

"Yes it is!" the girls said at the same time. They got up and high-fived each other.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it. Now, let's go." They all went into the room where the wedding would be held. After a while, people started pouring in (thanks to Genie's big introduction) and they just stood and watched. Sora wasn't exactly the most eager person in the world, but he was a little eager to see Aladdin and Jasmine kiss (which he had never seen before).

Riku elbowed him. "Hey, Sora-"

"Don't even start it, Riku."

"Fine, but I was just sayin'-" Riku again got cut off when they heard a low rumbling from the outside.

"EARTHQUAKE!" Genie exclaimed and grabbed a table leg. They listened more.

"I don't think that's an earthquake," Donald proclaimed.

The sound was getting louder and louder by the minute. Sora made his Keyblade appear. "I think something's getting closer...." Then, a loud crash was created as many, many men dressed in blue came in. They started stealing stuff from people and the palace. All the boys immediately ran toward them, trying to prevent them from taking anything else.

Kisara started to go help, but turned to Kairi. "Are you gonna help too or are you just gonna stand there and let the boys do it all?!" Kairi made her Keyblade appear also and the two girls were off to help defeat the thieves.

"I'll help!" Genie yelled. He was just about to beat some robbers when he noticed the ceiling was coming down on them. Then he held it up with his body.

Jasmine appeared angry. "Not my wedding!" she cried out and darted toward some of the thieves.

Aladdin noticed one of them getting away from everyone else. "Where the heck is he going?" he wondered outloud. He followed him to the room he was going into.

Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy and Kisara all backed into each other. "There's too many of them!" Sora exclaimed.

Kairi looked at him. "Then how do we beat ‘em?!"

"I have an idea, but it's really complicated..." Riku stated.

"And just what are you proposing to do?"

Riku was breathing hard and took a while to answer. "Alright. Genie says there's forty of them. There's six of us, so if each of us take on about... six or seven guys, we'll win."

"Oh, that's really going to help!" Kisara yelled.

"Hey, you asked for my idea." The bad group started closing in on them.

"Works for me!" Sora exclaimed and hit one of them in the head, knocking him out. Riku seemed dismayed. "One down, thirty-nine to go." All of them attacked the robbers. After a long time of beating, getting a beating, and Genie eventually realizing the ceiling had practically come down anyway, they had defeated some thieves and most of the others went running.

"Did we get ‘em all?" Goofy asked.

"Dunno. Ask mister mathematician here," Sora said, indicating Riku.

Riku gave him a dirty look. "I wasn't counting, Sora, so how should I know?"

"I dunno, aren't you supposed to be the smart one?"

Kisara folded her arms. "If anyone here's smart, it's me."

"Who said?!" Donald argued.

Goofy stepped in between them. "Now, now, let's not argue."

Aladdin came back into the area, holding a staff-like object. "One of the thieves went after this." He held it up higher.

Genie turned into a very slim guy with big glasses on. "It looks like an oracle."

"A what?" Sora questioned.

"Do you know anything, Sora?" Kisara retorted. "An oracle is something that tells the future, duh!"

"Hey, I was just askin'."

"Man, you're naive," Kisara muttered under her breath.

Sora looked around and had just realized something. "Hey, guys, does anyone know where Kairi is?" Everyone started scanning the place.

"Uh-oh," Riku said.

Sora glanced at him. "What does that mean?"

"I... Sora, I think, maybe... maybe Kairi was kidnapped..."

‘AGAIN?!' Sora thought. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Riku, y-you're just joking, right?"

"No, I'm not..."

Sora shook his head. He gripped his Keyblade harder, trying not to let out his frustration. Everything just seemed to come crashing down on him. "Not again... not again.... Not... AGAIN!" He threw the Keyblade to the ground and both his hands turned into fists. He turned around and started pounding a wall with anger. "There's no way this could happen again! I told myself it wouldn't happen again! It's not happening again! It's not, it's not, it's NOT!" He continued to pound the wall. A tear came down his eye, but he brushed it away immediately.

‘Kairi's not gone! She's just not!' He slid down the wall and ended up on his knees. ‘How did I let this happen?' "It's all my fault... I should've paid more attention..."

"Sora, how in the world could you find a way to blame yourself for this?" Kisara asked. "It's not your fault at all. You know that. It's those thieves, they're the ones who took Kairi, not you."

Riku stretched out his hand. "C'mon, Sora, get up." Sora declined the hand and stood up on his own. He had his head down.

‘This shouldn't have happened. It never should've happened. I can't believe it....' Sora tried not to show his pain.

Jasmine put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll find her." Sora didn't respond. He just stood there, staring at the ground.

‘It's all my fault.' A bright light came from the staff Aladdin was holding. A woman wearing white came out from it.

"Yep, definitely an oracle," Genie said.

"What does it do?" Goofy asked.

"Well, she's supposed to know everything. You can ask her one question, but that's it. And it can be about anything."

Jasmine stepped forward. "Well, Aladdin was able to stop that man from destroying it, so he should ask the first question."

Aladdin looked at her. "Aw, but there's so much to ask. How will I decide?"

"I dunno, but we'll give you time," Kisara stated. They all turned to Sora, who was still staring at the ground without a word.

"I don't think Aladdin's the only person who needs time," Riku proclaimed.

‘Kairi... I let you down....'

Sora stared at the night sky out on a small balcony. He knew that he would end up having to look for Kairi, and he was determined to save her from anything that could've possibly happened to her.

‘She could really be in danger,' he thought. ‘I shouldn't have let it happen. But, no matter what happens, I'll get her back.' He heard a noise and turned around to see Aladdin and Jasmine walking out onto the balcony, Aladdin holding the staff. They both looked at Sora.

"Aladdin doesn't really know what he wants to ask now, but we thought you should ask your question after him," Jasmine declared.

"I don't care about asking anything. I can find Kairi on my own." Sora might've been very determined and very true to himself, but one thing he didn't like was taking advice or help from others. He always tried to interpret things himself first. Jasmine gave him a concerned look. Aladdin placed the staff down on the balcony and the oracle appeared again.

"I still don't know what to ask. I mean, there's all kinds of things in the world about those thieves, about my childhood-"

"All which can be answered by your father," the oracle said.

Aladdin moved back a little. "My father?! He's alive?!"

Sora then stopped thinking about Kairi and looked right at Aladdin. "You never told me your father was dead."

"He's not anymore, I guess...." Aladdin glanced straight at the oracle. "Alright, then. Where is my father?"

The oracle made an image of a man who Sora assumed to be Aladdin's father. "He is trapped among the Forty Thieves."

‘Those must be the people that attacked us earlier! That's where Kairi is!' Sora thought.

Aladdin looked down. "... Alright. Carpet!" A purple rug with many intricate decorations on it came flying toward them from the inside. Aladdin got on. "Sora, Abu and Iago are coming with me. You wanna go, too? I know you want to find Kairi." Abu was Aladdin's pet monkey and Iago was a parrot that talked very often. They both came from inside and got on.

Sora glanced downward for a while. "Alright." He jumped onto the flying carpet and looked at Jasmine. "Tell the others where we're going." Jasmine nodded and said good-bye to Aladdin. Then she ran back inside.

"Okay, Carpet, GO!" Aladdin exclaimed and Carpet zoomed forward. It seemed to know the way itself. Sora looked directly ahead and no other direction. ‘Kairi... I'm coming.'

"Let go of me!" Kairi screamed. A bunch of men were trying to prevent her from getting away, one of them holding her hands behind her back. They all stopped when they came to the end of the desert where water was in the way.

‘Ha,' Kairi thought. ‘They're not getting past that.'

The one who seemed to be the leader held his hand out. "Open sesame!" he exclaimed. The water divided in half and led a pathway to a cave across it.

‘You've gotta be kidding me.' Then one of the men threw Kairi onto a horse and all of them were off.

Sora, Aladdin, Abu and Iago were silently watching from behind a canyon wall. Sora pointed. "There's-" Aladdin covered Sora's mouth.

"Shh! Do you want them to hear us?!" he whispered.

Sora pushed the hand away. "Sorry."

"Are you sure about this?" Iago asked with a nervous tone. Aladdin and Sora looked at him.

"Yes," they said at the same time. They noticed the water pathway was closing.

"Guys! We have to go NOW!" Aladdin exclaimed and Carpet sped forward, trying to get there before the water closed up on them. Everyone was able to make it in except...

"My tail feather's stuck!" Iago shrieked. Abu covered his mouth and tried to pull him out, Iago trying to talk through the hand. The two boys hid behind a rock. They noticed the place was covered with stolen jewels.

‘This isn't right,' Sora thought. He saw Kairi again and grimaced. The leader stepped forward and looked right at her.

"What do you know about the oracle?" he asked patiently.

Kairi was angry at him. "I don't know what you're talking about! And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you!"

A very big, tough-looking guy with golden claws on one hand pounded his fists together. "Tell us now, or I'll-"

"Now, hold on. This is a lady, and we don't harm ladies."

‘You better not harm her or your head will be in the ground for the next century!' Sora thought. He looked at Aladdin. "Let's go now!"

"Now, young lady, tell me about the oracle, because if you don't-"

"She's not telling you anything!" Sora exclaimed. He and Aladdin had stood up, both of them looking angry.

Kairi was very surprised. "Sora! Aladdin! What are you-"

"It doesn't matter." Aladdin kicked a guy in the face and grabbed the thieve's sword. He cut the rope bonding her hands together and she stood up. "Sora, Kairi, go now! I'll go looking for my father!"

The leader glanced at him with shock. "Your name's Aladdin?"

"Yeah, you have a problem with it?!"

"No, I don't." The man took off his hood to reveal the exact same person the oracle had shown. "Aladdin, I'm your father." Sora gaped at the sight.

‘Holy cow! The leader of the Forty Thieves is Aladdin's father?!' Aladdin motioned for them to go. Sora shook his head. "No, I'm not-" Carpet came under Sora and Kairi and went flying.

Kairi seemed pretty amazed. "It's flying by itself?!"

"Yeah, this is Carpet. I wanted to tell you about it, but... I didn't think you'd believe me."

"Of course I'd believe you, Sora."

Sora looked at her. "Really?"

"Yeah, you've never lied to me before."

Sora was a little confused. "But, I thought you said-"

"I was wrong, Sora. You and Riku did come back to Destiny Island, remember?"

Sora grinned. "I'm just glad you're okay, Kairi. I'm really sorry."

Kairi seemed concerned. "About what?"

"I should've paid more attention...."

"Sora, don't blame yourself. It's not your fault at all. And all that really matters is that no one was hurt, right?"

Sora looked down toward the others. "I guess."

Kairi put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, cheer up. There's nothing to be sad about now, is there?"

"Well, Aladdin might not be okay if he's down there for long."

"Carpet will come back, right?"

"I guess...." The two headed off into the night sky. Sora watched the surroundings. ‘I wonder if this is how Aladdin felt.'

‘No, it was a little different,' Roxas stated. Kairi leaned her head on Sora's shoulder slowly and gently. Sora was a little surprised she did that at first.

‘THAT'S how Aladdin felt.'

Sora just sat there, wondering why Kairi had done that. ‘Am I supposed to do something?'

‘Well, you don't have to... but, I would say you should, well, I dunno, maybe put an arm around her...?'

‘You're kidding.'

‘Nope. Hey, I'm not a girl expert, but I've seen movies....'

‘Okay, okay, I get it.' Sora slowly put an arm around Kairi. She glanced up at him and smiled. ‘But this doesn't mean anything-'

‘Sora and Kairi, sittin' in a tree....' Roxas started chanting with a mocking tone to his voice.

‘Roxas, you're the one who told me to do it.'

‘But you're the one who did it.' Roxas' voice disappeared once again, leaving Sora to do the rest himself. Kairi closed her eyes. Sora knew something was different about her ever since the end of their last journey to Kingdom Hearts, but he still didn't quite know what it was.

‘What if it really is... love?' He watched the scenery as Carpet zoomed through the air. The night sky was covered with twinkling stars, making it more beautiful than ever. Sora remembered some of Kairi's words from a letter she once sent him; "There are many worlds, but they share the same sky. One sky, one destiny."

‘She's right. No matter what world we go to, the sky looks exactly the same in every single one, even if the worlds have nothing else in common.' Sora was glad Kairi was with him as Carpet made its way back to the palace.

Carpet landed on the balcony Sora had been on earlier. He and Kairi both got off. Sora glanced at Carpet. "Go back to Aladdin, just in case he needs help." It seemed to nod and it went flying back.

"Some worlds truly are amazing," Kairi stated, watching the flying carpet leave.

"You have no idea." Sora looked at the inside. "Well, let's get some rest. See ya." He walked inside with Kairi watching.

‘Hey, Kairi,' Naminé said, ‘did you like that ride?'

‘Yeah, it was nice....'

‘Getting a little CLOSE there, weren't we?'

‘W-what are you talking about?!'

‘I'm starting to think maybe you love Sora.'

Kairi jolted. ‘What?! No way! We're just friends, you know that!'

‘Mm-hmm. Suuure. And you didn't just HAPPEN to be leaning on his shoulder like that?'

‘Well, I-I was, but... don't friends do that?'

‘Think what you want, but I'm telling you....' Naminé didn't even finish her sentence before she left. Kairi also walked inside, not exactly sure of herself anymore.

A loud wind started outside. Sora heard it and woke up, unaware of what lay out in the dead of night. He jumped out of the bed, already dressed, and dashed out to see what was going on. He noticed the rest of the gang had also come out. The wind was extremely strong for some reason. All of a sudden, many, many Nobodies appeared. They made their weapons appear and fought off as many as they could, using magic and anything else they could use. Five men with black cloaks appeared in the darkness.

"I knew it!" Sora shouted. "Organization XIII!" He didn't know exactly who the members were because their hoods were up, but he knew they were after something, especially with as many as five of them there. He looked at the girls, knowing they had the least experience with Organization XIII. "Go! We can take ‘em!"

"And let the men do it all?! No way, Sora, we're staying right here!" Kisara exclaimed.

The man in the middle put a hand out. He whispered something where no one could hear him. The wind grew even stronger and sand blew up in Sora's face, forcing him to shield his eyes. The members grabbed Kairi, Donald and Goofy. Kisara fought back, but they were too fast and got her. Riku put up the greatest struggle of all, even making them knock him unconscious before being able to get him.

"SORA!" Kairi screamed. One of the members snapped his fingers and all of them disappeared. The winds ceased and Sora looked around. He was shocked at what he saw.

"Riku! Kairi! Donald, Goofy, Kisara!" No response. Sora felt a stinging in his heart. ‘How... in... the... WORLD?!' He clenched his teeth and plunged his Keyblade into the ground. He fell to his knees, still holding onto the handle of the Keyblade. Frustration rose up in him and he let out a loud cry. Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie all came running out after him. Tears came down his face like crazy.

Aladdin scanned around the place, then back at Sora. "Where's-"

"GONE!" Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie caught their breath. "They're all gone! Organization XIII took them! I KNEW this would happen if I didn't protect them enough! Riku might be able to handle himself, but the others are just too... too vulnerable!"

Aladdin and Jasmine looked at each other, both of them frowning. Then Aladdin glanced at Sora. "C'mon, Sora, at least stop bawling. You don't want Kairi to see you like that, do you?"

Sora wiped the tears from his face and stood up. He took the Keyblade out of the ground and made it disappear. Genie turned himself into a military soldier with a machine gun. "Don't worry, Sora, I will HUNT those kidnappers down and they will all face a HORRIBLE DEATH!" He started shooting the gun into the ground for no apparent reason.

Aladdin made a face at him. "Genie, this isn't a good time to be funny."

"FUNNY?!" Genie grabbed his shoulders. "You think I'm being funny?! I'm being one hundred percent SERIOUS, Al!"

"It's alright, I'll find ‘em on my own," Sora stated, everyone easily being able to tell he was in pain.

Jasmine took a breath. "Sora, just be careful when you go out there." Carpet came flying in and stood by Genie.

"I will, don't worry."

Genie started fake weeping. "Good-bye, Sora! Send me a postcard!" He blew his nose on Carpet and it pulled itself away.

"Genie, what did I tell you about that?" Aladdin asked impatiently.

Genie pretended to be innocent. "Right, no boogers on the carpet. I think it's rule number..." he made a small, brown book appear and turned through the pages quickly, "uh... IT'S NOT IN HERE!"

"Genie, just... stop, okay?" Genie made the book vanish and everyone's attention turned back to Sora. "Are you sure you'll be alright?"

"Yeah, I'll be fine. There's just so many worlds and I don't know where they could be."

Aladdin then remembered something and raced back into the palace. He came back a few minutes later with the oracle. "You never asked your question. Think you might wanna ask it where your friends are?"

Sora still didn't like the idea of the oracle, but he knew if he didn't, he probably wouldn't make it on time and something bad could happen. He sighed. "Alright." He looked at the oracle. "Where are Riku and the others?"

"They are in the Realm of Darkness," it answered and went back inside the staff.

Sora had a feeling that was where they might have been, but he didn't know how he was going to get there. ‘I'll find a way,' he thought to himself. ‘Somehow....' He waved good-bye to the group from Agrabah and started walking ahead, looking for what could possibly unlock the Realm of Darkness.

When he was out of eyesight and earshot from the others, he saw a white portal appear. He stopped and saw a golden blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl come out. Her outfit was very regal.

"Glad to be out of there," she murmured. She looked at Sora. "Who are you?"

"Uh, my name's Sora."

The girl smiled. "Oh. Well, my name's Nioto, and, well... just wanted to know your name."

"Uh-huh. Good for you." Sora walked away, still looking for what could be a key.

"Wait a sec! Where're you going?"

He turned around to face her. "I'm looking for my friends."

"Really? Well, can I help?"

Sora became a little more curious. "Why?"

"‘Cause I've got nothin' better to do."

"Thanks, but-"

"PUH-LEASE?! I really wanna help out! I mean, I don't know you that well, but I don't really care. And besides, I know every world imaginable. And I can use light magic."

‘What does that mean?' "Oh, alright, if you're gonna keep begging."

Nioto grinned again. "Okay!" She ran to his side and walked by him. "So, where are they?"

"The Realm of Darkness."

"Ooh, creepy place. But I can get there." She made another portal that appeared exactly the same.

Sora's jaw dropped. "How did you..."

Nioto put her hands on her hips. "What'd I tell ya? Not only do I know every world, but I can get to every world, too!" She started to go through and turned around. "Are you comin' or not?" Sora nodded and followed her into the Realm of Darkness.

‘This Nioto girl sure is... enigmatic.'
